Differential rotation of the solar transition region from STEREO/EUVI 30.4-nm images

چکیده
The solar photosphere, chromosphere and corona are known to rotate differentially as a function of latitude. To date, it is unclear if the transition region also rotates differentially. In this paper, we investigate differential rotational profile latitude, using full disk (SFD) images at 30.4 nm wavelength recorded by Extreme Ultraviolet Imager (EUVI) onboard Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory (STEREO) space mission for period from 2008 2018 (Solar Cycle 24). Our investigations show that sidereal rotation rate obtained +/- 5 degree equatorial band quite high (~ 14.7 degree/day), which drops ~ 13.6 degree/day towards both polar regions. We obtain differentiality low during activity (rotation varies 14.86 14.27 degree/day) while increases ascending descending phases 24th cycle 14.56 13.56 in 14.6 13.1 2018). Average (over SFD) follows trend (maximum 14.97 peak phase activity, slowly decreases minimum 13.9 cycle). observe less than corona.

Solar coronal differential rotation from XBPs in Hinode/XRT and Yohkoh/SXT images
Aims. Our aim is to identify and trace the X-ray Bright Points (XBPs) over the disk and use them as tracers to determine the coronal rotation. This investigation will help to clarify and understand several issues: whether (i) the corona rotates differentially; (ii) the rotation depends on the sizes of the XBPs; and (iii) dependence on phases of the solar magnetic cycle. Methods. We analysed the...
متن کاملStretching Riemannian spherical solar dynamos from differential rotation
Stretching solar dynamos from differential rotation in a Riemannian manifold setting is presented. The spherical model follows closely a twisted magnetic flux tube Riemannian geometrical model or flux rope in solar physics, presented previously by Ricca [Solar Physics (1997)]. The spherical model presented here present new and interesting feature concerning its connection with spherical steady ...
متن کاملMagnetic Helicity Generation by Solar Differential Rotation
Observations of sunspots, active regions, filaments, coronal arcades, and interplanetary magnetic clouds indicate that the Sun preferentially exhibits left-handed, negative-helicity features in its northern hemisphere, and their opposite counterparts in the south, independent of sunspot cycle. We investigate quantitatively the generation of magnetic helicity by solar differential rotation actin...
